Dr. Ellen Markstein has been practicing dermatology in Clinton, Connecticut, since 1995. She has felt privileged to practice general medical dermatology on the Connecticut Shoreline and to care for her patients and their families for well over two decades. Dr. Markstein brings her wealth of experience to the team at Integrated Dermatology of Clinton.
She graduated cum laude from Williams College with honors in biology and went on to earn her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Upon graduation, she was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honors society. She completed her medical internship and dermatology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and served as a chief resident in her final year of training.
Dr. Markstein is a board-certified dermatologist through the American Board of Dermatology and has special interests in the management of acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer. She has been on the clinical faculty at Yale and has participated in volunteer teaching of the Yale dermatology residents at the West Haven Veteran’s hospital for almost 25 years. She has made a commitment to educating her patients about sun skin cancer and sun protection and has been gratified to see the positive impact this has made on so many of her patients.
